Khajjiar Lake (Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, India)

A perennial lake at 1900 mtrs,this is very scenic lake called the mini Switzerland of India.This beautifully located lake is surrounded by thick forests of khajjiar and  is a perennial lake which is fed by streams. Near the lake is the kalatop wildlife sanctary  which is a beautiful trekking destination having leopards and himalayan bears as residents and immense variety of high-altitude birds. Khajjiar lake is located 16 kms from Dalhousie and 25 kms from Chamba. It has a moving island in it and sorrounded by thick dense forests.
